Al Hilal football team has qualified for the semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup for the third time in its history, after beating Moroccan sports club Wadad on penalties (5-3), following a draw with a goal for the same during the original time of the match that brought together the two teams at the Prince Moulay Abdallah Stadium in Rabat.
The match between Al-Wadad and Al-Hilal was held as part of the second round of the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup, which will be hosted by Morocco between February 1 and 11.
Ayoub Al-amloud scored Al-Wadad's goal in the 52nd minute, after he took advantage of a corner kick, for Marija to try to keep the ball away, before it reached al-amloud, who deposited the ball with a header in the right corner from goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Mayouf.
Mohamed kno responded with a goal to equalize for Al Hilal from the penalty spot in the 90th+4 minute of the match.
Two expulsion cases
The match between Al-Wadad and Al-Hilal witnessed two cases of dismissal; the first from Yahya Gibran "Al-Wadad" in the 90th minute, and the second from Mohammed Kino "Al-Hilal" in the 94th minute.
Arbitration award and Carrillo's injury
The meeting witnessed a controversial refereeing shot in the 71st minute, after Al Hilal players demanded to count a penalty kick, due to a hand touch on the defender of Al Wadad, before the referee decided to resume play without resorting to VAR video technology.
Al Hilal player Andre Carrillo suffered a severe injury that forced him to leave the match field crying, via a medical stretcher, in the 112th minute, to replace Musab al jawair.
Penalty shootout
The two teams appealed to the penalty shootout, after the end of the original and extra time with a draw for a similar goal, and the results of the kicks were as follows..
Al Hilal: Marija (goal), vieto (goal), Saleh Al-Shehri (goal), Abdullah Al-Hamdan (goal), Musab al-jawair (goal).
Al-Wadad: Yahya atiyallah( lost), Ayoub Al-amloud( goal), Mohamed onagem( goal), Jalal Daoudi (goal)،
Al Hilal qualified for the semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup, to face Brazilian Flamengo, the champion of the Copa Libertadores, at Ibn Battuta Stadium, next Tuesday.
