His Excellency Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received at his residence in the Jordanian capital, Amman, today, Monday, the Head of the European Union Mission, Gabriel Munuera Viñals, and the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Yemen, Hubert Jaeger, within the framework of the ongoing efforts to mobilize international support in addition to economic reforms and implementation The decision of the National Defense Council to classify the Houthi militia as a terrorist organization.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed that punitive measures against the terrorist Houthi militia do not mean closing the door to good offices to bring peace and stability to Yemen according to the references agreed upon nationally, regionally and internationally.
The President reassured the humanitarian business community and the private sector with exceptions that would ensure the continued flow of aid and relief interventions to the real beneficiaries, while stressing caution against any transactions or transfers to terrorist militia areas outside the scope of approved exceptions.
The Chairman of the Leadership Council put the two European ambassadors before the repercussions of the Houthi terrorist attacks on the oil sector, global trade freedom and international peace and security.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak.
