Cairo / Media Coordinator / Al-Ezzi Al-Essami:
The delegation of our first national football team arrived this evening in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to start a second phase of preparation and preparation for participation in the Gulf Cup 25, which will be hosted by the Iraqi city of Basra, during the period from 6 to 19 January 2023.
Our team will start an external camp led by Czech coach Miroslav Skop, the new coach of the national team, after he finished yesterday an internal camp in the city of Aden, which started on the eighteenth of last October, led by assistant coach Muhammad Al-Zuraiqi.
The mission includes 32 players in various centers, who were subjected to an intensive training program during the internal camp to raise the level of physical fitness in a stage that will witness the gradual renewal of the team's elements, while two players who were in Cairo joined them.
A number of distinguished diaspora players from America and some countries will join the national team camp in Cairo, where they will be put to the test under the watch of Coach Scoop.
It is expected that the Cairo camp will include a number of experimental matches with local clubs before embarking on several international experimental matches to be arranged by the General Secretariat according to the program of the technical staff.
The mission was received by the Marketing Director of the General Football Association, Akram Sabra, and the director of Belqis Air Station in Cairo, Muhammad Al-Amiri.

It is worth noting that the draw for the Gulf Cup 25 placed our team in the first group, along with the teams of Saudi Arabia, Oman and the host Iraq.
