A meeting was held at the Hadramout Court of Appeal, today in Mukalla, which included the Governor of Hadramout, Chairman of the Security Committee in the governorate, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, the President of the Hadramout Court of Appeal, Judge Muhammad Faraj Sbeiti, the Vice-President of the Supreme Committee for Elections and Referendum, Judge Khamis Al-Dini, and the Director General of the General Department of Security and Police in the coast of Hadramout, Brigadier General Muti` Al-Minhali, a member of the criminal division of the court, Judge Khaled Lardi, and the director general of the court, Hussein Al-Aidarous.
The meeting was devoted to discussing the situation of the judiciary and ways to enhance the independence of the judiciary, justice institutions, and law enforcement agencies.
The meeting touched on supporting the independence of the judiciary and judges in achieving the principles of justice and the rights and freedoms of individuals, and the importance of mutual coordination between the executive and judicial authorities and the security authorities to preserve public and private property in the speedy completion of citizen s' cases, respect for the judiciary, impose its prestige and implement its rulings.
The governor stressed the lack of overlap between the authorities.
The judiciary is the state’s means of suppressing the oppressor, supporting the oppressed, severing disputes, and delivering rights to its people. It represents the arbiter between the litigants, and it does not decide on the papers proving the incident that was essentially annulled, stressing the support of the local authority and the security services for the judicial authority, based on its importance in achieving the right and redressing grievances.
