According to the World Bank, food price inflation rates continue to rise globally, registering more than 5 percent in 83.3 percent of low-income countries, 90.2 percent of lower-middle-income countries, and 91 percent in upper-middle-income countries.
Reports issued by the bank for the months of October 2022 and January 2023, which include data on food price inflation, showed that high-income countries recorded an increase in inflation by about 85.7 percent.
