The International Energy Agency announced that Russian oil and gas revenues fell by about 38 percent in January, representing a decline of 38 percent compared to the levels of 2022, when it recorded 30 billion dollars.
The organization pointed out that the decline is due to the impact of Moscow's Western sanctions on it.
"Our forecast is that the decline in oil and gas revenues will be even greater in the coming months, and even more severe in the medium term due to lack of access to investments and technology,"Fatih Birol, director of the agency, told Reuters.
A report last month indicated that Moscow plans to implement significant cuts to its oil exports in order to raise the price of crude to the West starting from March by 500 thousand barrels per day, or about 5 percent.
