The Yangtze River in China is the longest river in Asia, and the third longest in the world (after the Nile and the Amazon,).
The greatness of the Yangtze in giving is comparable only to its might in size, its construction took 17 years and some call it the Great Wall of China.
- The cost of its construction reached 80 billion dollars; that is, the cost of building 53 Burj Khalifa.
- Two kilometers long, 60 floors high, to be the largest concrete building on Earth.
-The amount of concrete used in its construction is enough to build 62 Eiffel Towers from cemented concrete.
-The dam is the largest electric power plant in the world, and exceeds the volume of the largest dam in the United States by five times.
- The volume of its production is 22,500 megawatts; that is, the same production of 22 nuclear power plants, which is twice the number of nuclear power plants in Britain, and supplies almost 80 million people with energy; that is, 80% of Egypt's population, and it can supply New Zealand, Iceland, Ireland, Rwanda, the Bahamas and Costa Rica combined and overflow, but because China is a giant country and its energy need is insane, the dam's electricity supplies China with only 1.5% of its needs.
This dam and its reservoir are so huge that, due to a physical principle, the rotation of the Earth slowed down at a very slight rate, reaching 0.06 microseconds or 60 nanoseconds (of course very, very tiny in absolute terms, but very huge in relative terms if compared with the impact of almost any other object on the Earth).
The area of the resulting water reservoir is 1045 square kilometers (more than twice the area of Cairo), and it contains 39 trillion kilograms of water (or 42 billion tons.)
