The Youth and Student Administration of the Executive Body of the Local Leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Hadhramaut and the Football Association in the coast of the governorate organized, today, Tuesday, the draw for the refresher tournament for the town’s tourism season for clubs, under the generous sponsorship of President Commander Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council.
Captain Ali Faraj Al-Tambashi, Director of the Youth and Student Administration of the Hadhramaut Transition, stressed the importance of uniting for the sport of Hadramout and the south in general, and to return to the strong level of Hadramout football, noting that the meeting of athletes is the most prominent factor for the return and conduct of sports activity for the coast of Hadramout after a hiatus of nearly two years.
In turn, Captain Anwar Saadallah Al-Rabbaki, technical supervisor of the Football Association in the coast of Hadramout, reviewed the distribution of teams, their levels, and the tournament mechanism, which includes 14 clubs based on the group system all against all, and all matches are played at the Baradam Stadium in Mukalla.
The champion and runner-up of each group qualifies for the second round, which plays in the two-group system, comprising the first (first group, second group, second group, and first group third) and includes the second group (first group second, second group first, and second group third), so that the champion of each group qualifies to the final match of the tournament .
The participating clubs were divided into three groups, the first comprising five teams: Shaab Hadramout, Wahdat Shuhair, Hilal Fowa, Police and Shabab Mayfaa. Simeon Ash-Shihr, Ya'ath, Elite and Ahl al-Ghail.
The opening match will be played on Friday, July 29, between Shaab Hadramawt and Wahda Shehair from the first group, while Saturday Al-Tadamon and Wehdat Al-Mukalla will play for the second group, and on Sunday, Ya`th and Samoun will play for the third group.
The championship matches continue on a weekly basis on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays of each week.
