Minister of Information Dr. Muammar bin Mutahar Al-Eryani stressed the importance of community media in promoting development efforts and raising the level of awareness and awareness of individuals in developing societies, of which Yemen is, according to his description.
Al-Eryani said that the community media plays an important role in creating the appropriate conditions for the community and making it able to accept all development plans in all its aspects to ensure their success and seek their results in the short and long term, as it is an independent and effective way to reform all that has been corrupted by politics and its media that operate according to a political approach. It is mostly compatible with political goals and gains rather than with the developmental interests of society.
The Iranian Minister of Information praised Al-Amal Radio FM, which is affiliated with the Hadhramout Foundation for Media and Development, and its great societal role in raising awareness of society at all levels, and its effective contribution to promoting peaceful coexistence and establishing peace by being able to reach large numbers of the receiving audience as the first community radio in Hadramout to broadcast Continuously for 24 hours, Al-Eryani added that Radio Al-Amal FM embodied the true importance of community media, pointing out that the Ministry of Information and the government pay great attention to independent community media.
This came during a meeting between His Excellency, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the General Director of Radio Al-Amal FM and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hadhramaut Foundation for Media and Development, Mr. Amir Abdullah Baawidan.
During the meeting, Al-Eryani valued the great support and attention given by the Goodwill Ambassador to the United Nations, Saada Dr. Omar Abdullah Bamahsoun, to community media in Hadhramaut through the Hadhramout Foundation for Media and Development and its media devices.
