The first football team of Samoun Sports Club in Al-Shehr regained the lead in the second group in the preliminary round, the group stage in the Hadhramout Seventh Football Championship, which is currently underway under the auspices of the Governor of Hadramout, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, and with the participation of the media sponsor of the tournament, Al-Amqi and Brothers Exchange Company, and the organization of the main committee.
Samoun returned to the fore again after a landslide victory over his counterpart Hilal Fowa, achieved by the orange team, led by its coach, Captain Obaid Baqafa, with a score of six goals to one in the match that brought them together at the stadium of the deceased Paradem in Mukalla this afternoon, Monday, in the opening of the fourth round matches of the second group.
Six goals were scored by Samoon Ziyad Ba’awidan (three goals), Asaad Ghalaqan (two goals), Ali Bin Aweish (one goal), and scored for Al-Hilal from Omar Al-Hasani’s penalty kick.
With this victory, Samoun strengthened his chances of obtaining one of the two qualifying cards to the second round (round of 16), after raising his score to 8 points, and he had one match left to play against his rival, Mukalla, next Friday, December 2nd.
While Al-Hilal bid farewell to the competition with this great loss, there was a match left for it against the Elite on December 9.
There are two matches remaining in the penultimate round. Al-Mukalla will meet Wehdat Al-Hami on Tuesday, December 6th, and Al-Nokhba and Al-Sadara will face each other on Monday, December 5th.
