The Undersecretary of Hadramout Governorate, Hassan Salem Al-Jilani, inaugurated this morning in Mukalla, a 16-day campaign to combat violence against women and establish the Third Bazaar, which is being implemented by the Protection and Livelihood Support Project (Safe Space for Women and Girls in Mukalla) of the Humanitarian Access Association, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). .
At the inauguration ceremony, which was attended by the Chairman of the National Committee for Women, Ms. Faiza Bamatref, and the Director General of the Literacy Office, Mr. Sadat Al-Assal, Deputy Al-Jilani conveyed the greetings of Hadramout Governorate, Mr. Mabkhout bin Madi, stressing that the local authority in Hadramout worked to preserve women's rights, and was strongly present in Many different events and activities at the governorate level, and women thus represented an honorable and successful model in all the positions they occupied.
The Vice President of Hadramout University, Dr. Abdullah Babeer, referred to the great roles that women play in society, praising the work of the project, which targets one of the most important societal segments, as he described it.
In turn, the coordinator of the Protection and Livelihood Support Project, Mr. Khaled Baaissa, reviewed a number of programs that he implemented for the project, the percentage of achievement and the beneficiaries, thanking the role of Hadramout University in hosting the activities of the campaign and the bazaar.
Program Manager at the United Nations Population Fund, Ahmed Sharaf, explained the role of society in supporting and protecting women, noting the successes achieved by Hadramout in various fields and a model for successful women.
The event witnessed an introductory reportage of some of the project’s activities. Some of the inauguration ceremony was the launch of the Bazaar exhibition for the beneficiaries of the safe space for women and girls. It included a number of different corners, including a corner for people of determination, a corner for family counseling, a corner for incense, perfumes, cosmetics, mobile phone maintenance, sweets, sewing, embroidery, hardware industries and other corners. .

In the bazaar, the College of Girls participated with charitable dishes in the disciplines of art education, Islamic studies, English language, kindergarten department and social service.
