The defending champion, the first football team of the Solidarity Hadramout Sports Club, confirmed its eligibility to sit at the top of the first group in the Hadramout Seventh Cup championship, which is currently underway under the auspices of the Governor of Hadramout, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, and with the participation of the media sponsor, Al-Amqi and Brothers Exchange Company, and organized by the main committee of the tournament.
Al-Tadamon, who won the Hadramout Cup three times, announced itself as a champion crowned with the top spot and alone with the first group teams in the tournament after its fifth successive victory, Thursday afternoon, with a score of three goals to one over Al-Ghail’s people in the match that took place at Paradem Stadium in Mukalla, which is the last match for the blue team in the table. First group matches, recording the full mark (15 points) without any loss or tie in the team’s march.
Al-Tadamon achieved the last victory today, at the expense of Al-Ahly, with a hat-trick of Hamza Al-Amoudi (a goal) and Waddah Al-Amri (two goals) against Al-Ahlawi’s goal, signed by Abdul Rahman Bamatrif.
Al-Ahly’s loss postponed its qualification for the second round, as the team remained on its previous balance (9 points), and the hopes of its rival, Wehda Shahir (6 points), revived. In favor of Al-Ahly without looking at the result of Al-Wehda. Al-Wehda’s victory and Al-Ahly’s loss means that they are equal in points (9 points), and thus a play-off match to determine the second qualifier according to the tournament regulations.
After the match, Al-Tadamon was crowned with the Independence Cup on November 30, presented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports office on the occasion of the anniversary. Al-Tadamon received the trophy at the stadium stage by the Director General of the Office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Captain Hassan Salih Masjedi, and with him the President of the Coast Football Association, Captain Abdullah Saeed Al-Saadi, amid the applause of the audience.
The November 30 Cup is one of the activities organized by the office on the occasion of the independence anniversary in the games of volleyball, handball, basketball, taekwondo, athletics, swimming, and cycling, which will be held tomorrow, Friday, from in front of the old Mukalla Jacob Railway to Paradem Stadium in Mukalla.
