The Undersecretary of Hadhramaut Governorate, the Assistant in charge of managing the affairs of the Valley and the Sahara, Eng. Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Qader bin Ishaq, Director of Al-Hayat General Hospital, Dr.: Adel Jamaan bin Suwaid, and Director of the Nahd Development Foundation branch in the valley and desert, Mr.: Muhammad Abdullah bin Badr Muhammad, the free medical camp for eye surgery was inaugurated at Al-Hayat General Hospital in Qattan, which is implemented by the Health Development Foundation in cooperation with Al-Hayat General Hospital. And with generous funding from the Nahd Developmental Foundation and the supervision of the General Administration of Camps at the Ministry of Health and the office of the Ministry of Public Health and Population in the Valley and the Desert.
During the inauguration, Al-Saeedi was briefed on the level of organization of the camp, the medical competencies present in it, and the quality of medical services provided to patients, praising the efforts made by the Health Development Corporation and Nahd Development Corporation in the health sector, which benefit the community directly and contribute to alleviating the suffering of patients, stressing the provision of all the local authority The facilities that would make the work of civil society organizations successful in serving the citizens.
For his part, the Director General of the Cotton Directorate, Mr. Abdullatif Muhammad Al-Naqeeb, expressed his happiness for such camps that serve the citizen under these difficult conditions. The Director General said that the local authority in the Directorate will provide all facilities and overcome difficulties for the success of such works.
For his part, Dr. Abdulaziz Abdul-Qadir bin Ishaq, Executive Director of the Health Development Corporation, spoke about the stages the camp went through, examining the (120) sick cases, and then starting the stage of conducting the operations that were launched today and will last for two days to perform approximately (100) surgeries for the cases. Which needs surgical intervention to remove cataracts and implant lenses with Phaco technology, which is implemented by Vision Hospital for Ophthalmology and Retinal Surgery, thanking the Nahd Developmental Foundation for its generous support and its various health and humanitarian interventions, as well as the important role of Al-Hayat General Hospital and the medical staff participating in the camp.
While Dr. Adel Jamaan bin Suwaid, Director of Al-Hayat General Hospital, stated about the hospital’s readiness and reception for medical and surgical camps, and the hospital’s aspirations to create effective partnerships with civil society organizations to provide health services to citizens, including specialized medical camps, which have a significant impact on the community, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the funding bodies.
