The Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, praised the societal awareness of the youth segment of the importance of volunteering and spreading its culture, holding volunteer activities, and supporting the local authority in various stages.
The Governor, during his meeting today in Mukalla, praised the leadership of the Volunteers Foundation, for the efforts and activities of the Foundation in spreading the culture of volunteering, as it is the unique institution at the national level in this field.
The Governor, Bin Madi, heard from the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Dr. Abdullah Saleh Babair, and the President of the Foundation d. Abdullah Mohammed bin Thalab, and Executive Director Mohammed Khaled Al-Khamer, to the activities of the Foundation, which was established in 2013, and the areas of intervention in the sectors of education, health, volunteering, livelihoods, empowering young people and refining their talents.
During the meeting, they reviewed the preparations to celebrate the International Volunteer Day, and the events that the Foundation will organize from mid-November until the fifth of December, and include training 60 volunteer teams at the governorate level, financing the best 5 volunteer initiatives that serve the community, holding cultural and community exhibitions, and sports competitions. Spreading the culture of volunteer work in universities, schools and government departments.
The Governor praised the Foundation's activities, forums and volunteer teams, stressing the support of the local authority for these efforts that develop the voluntary thought of young people to serve the community.
