The Bahrain national team won two goals to one, after being a goal behind, as the Qatar national team advanced with the first goal, through its player Ahmed Alaeddin in the 34th minute, with a header from inside the penalty area from a ball sent from a corner kick.
Bahrain equalized in the 72nd minute, by Qatar player Mohammed Waad Abdul Wahab made a mistake in his own goal, after a shot from Kamil Al-Aswad, a Bahrain national team player.

Abdullah Yusuf, the Bahrain player, was able to translate it into a second goal and victory for his country in the 89th minute.
With this victory, Bahrain leads the standings of Group B, with 6 points from two consecutive wins, while Qatar is in second place with 3 points.
Kuwait comes in third place with 3 points, and the UAE follows the ranking without points.
The 25th Gulf Championship will be held in Basra, Iraq, from January 10 and will last until Thursday, the 19th of the same month.
