The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced that it will provide urgent humanitarian assistance worth 85 million dollars in humanitarian aid to respond to the losses left by the devastating earthquake that hit areas of Syria and Turkey.
"This new funding supports USAID's humanitarian partners to provide urgently needed assistance to millions of people in Turkey and Syria,"the agency said in a press release.
"The new assistance is part of USAID's broader contribution to helping people affected by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria,"the statement added.
The statement renewed the commitment of the United States to support the response of the Turkish government and provide life-saving assistance to the Syrian people in responding to this devastating disaster.
