French President Emmanuel Macron stressed that under no circumstances can fighter jets be delivered in the coming weeks to Ukraine, which has been demanding them for a long time, preferring to support them with "more useful" weapons and have them delivered "faster".
After a European summit in the presence of his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, Macron spoke about the issue of the delivery of fighters to Ukraine, saying: "I do not exclude anything at all, but this does not correspond to the needs today".
"His very deep and very careful discussion with Zelensky on Wednesday in Paris showed that the priority is to do everything to help (Ukraine) resist in the coming weeks,"Macron said.
"It is necessary that the Allies give preference to the most useful equipment, the delivery of which is in the"fastest" form..He noted that the Caesar cannon and the Mamba medium-range air defense system provided by France meet these criteria.
Throughout his European Tour on Wednesday and Thursday, the Ukrainian president insisted that his country needed fighter jets to end the Russian-led war.
