The English team, Manchester City, qualified for the Club World Cup final, after defeating its Japanese counterpart, Urawa Red Diamonds, with a score of 3-0, in the match that brought together the two teams at the “King Abdullah Sports City (Radiant Jewel)” stadium, in the semi-finals of the World Cup, in the tournament. Hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the period from 12 to 22 December.
City ended the first half with a 1-0 lead through an own goal by Urawa defender Marius in the 45th minute + 1. In the second half, Guardiola's squad added the second and third goals through Mateo Kovacic in the 52nd minute and Bernardo Silva in the 59th minute.
With this result, Manchester City qualifies for the final of the tournament to face Brazilian Fluminense on Friday, December 22, at eight in the evening, while Urawa will play for third and fourth place on the same day with Al-Ahly club.
