Exactly one year after Lionel Messi lifted the precious gold cup on the podium in the latest edition of the global football festival and wrote an honorable new page in the history of the magical round, the FIFA+ platform releases the official film of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, which is titled “FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.” ™: A historic version of the World Cup”
This new production provides unique insights into the first edition of the tournament hosted in the Middle East, and includes quotes from commentators on the matches and the scoring of historic goals, in addition to timeless footage from the final matches of previous editions.
Qatar 2022™ witnessed the breaking of many records, starting with 172 goals, which made it the most prolific edition of the tournament (after 171 goals were scored in the 1998 and 2014 editions), leading to more than 5 billion people watching the tournament.
As for inside the stadiums, 3.4 million people attended the tournament, compared to 3 million in the previous session in 2018, making this an exceptional edition by all standards.
