The Italian National Statistical Office (ISTAT) announced that the annual inflation rate in Italy rose from 0.9 percent in October to 1.4 percent in November, according to preliminary estimates issued by it.
The office indicated that the consumer price index remained stable in November on a monthly basis.
According to the Italian News Agency (ANSAMD), inflation significantly affected certain sectors, especially food products, which recorded a sharp increase on an annual basis, in addition to energy and transportation services.
ISTAT added that "inflation estimates for 2024 indicate that it will reach 1 percent for the general index, and 2 percent for the basic component.
