The US House of Representatives plans to vote this week on a bill to end the requirement for most foreign air travelers to be vaccinated against the emerging coronavirus( covid-١٩).
"The house plans to vote this week on a bill that would end the requirement for most foreign air travelers to be vaccinated against covid-19,"said House Majority Leader Steve Scalise in a press statement.
The administration of President Joe Biden in June abandoned its requirement that covid-19 Tests for people arriving in the country by air should come negative, but did not lift the requirement for the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to vaccinate.
Adult visitors to the United States who are not citizens or permanent residents must currently show proof of their vaccination before boarding the plane with some limited exceptions.
