In a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the G20 summit on the Indonesian island of Bali, Wang Yi said: "We are very happy that you are personally participating in the G20 summit, and representing Russia at the summit. This is a very glorious task. We support Russia's worthy role in the G20." The G20 and other international platforms... No one has the right to take away Russia's logical right to participate in multilateral formats."
He indicated that he intends to discuss with his Russian counterpart "issues of common interest, as well as cooperation to maintain stable dynamics of bilateral relations."
