Al-Dhalea..Yemen Red Crescent launches the distribution of 401 food baskets to the poorest families in the areas of Abab and Khashan in Al-Azariq

Thanks to the efforts of Dr. Omar Abdel-Wahhab, President of the Yemen Red Crescent Society, Al-Dhalea Branch, the Yemen Red Crescent Society, Al-Dhalea Branch, launched today, Thursday, the distribution of 401 food baskets funded by the Qatari Red Crescent to 4,001 families from the poorest and most vulnerable families in the areas of Abab and Khashan, Al-Azariq District, Al-Dhalea Governorate.


 


During the inauguration, which was attended by Abdul Qadir Muhammad Salih, the emergency and disaster coordinator at the branch, and Mr. Abdul-Karim Salih Qasim, the operating room coordinator in the branch.


The relief and disaster coordinator of the Yemeni Red Crescent branch confirmed that this project, in coordination with the local authority in Al-Azariq district, represented by the Director-General, comes as an emergency response to the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable families in the areas of Abab and Khashan in Al-Azariq in order to meet the basic life-saving food needs, and comes in order to contribute to improving People's standard of living and in response to the needs of those affected in the field of food security.


We commend the efforts of the head of the Yemeni Red Crescent branch in Al-Dhalea, the Yemeni Red Crescent team and the Qatari Crescent, and their great efforts in contributing to serving the most damaged, poorest and weakest families.


The leadership of the local authority in the directorate and the families benefiting from the project expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Qatari Crescent that supports the project, the Yemeni Red Crescent implementing the project, and their work team for their efforts, and that this emergency humanitarian food aid came at the right time and people are in dire need of it to alleviate their humanitarian suffering.


 


It is worth noting that the food basket consists of 10 kg of rice, 25 kg of flour, 4 kg of dates, 10 kg of sugar, 12 cans of beans, 4 liters of oil and 2 kg of salt.
