This evening, Mrs. Khadija Muhammad Bakrit, Undersecretary of Al-Mahra Governorate for Women's Affairs, accompanied by Mr. Metropolitan Awad Himid, Director General of Literacy and Adult Education in the governorate, inaugurated the exams for the first semester of adult education in a number of centers in Al-Ghaydah district.
Undersecretary Bakrit praised the efforts of the Literacy and Adult Education Department in ending illiteracy and adult education through evening classes and granting the right to education. In light of the interest of the local authority in the province represented by Mr. Muhammad Ali Yasser, the governor of the province, in the educational process in its various tracks, adult education has its share of Paying attention, facilitating difficulties, and providing the necessary support for the continuation of the educational process, according to the available capabilities.
In the session, Mr. Metropolitan Himid, Director General of Literacy Eradication in the governorate, conveyed the greetings of Mr. Aid Saleh bin Mahri, Head of the Literacy and Adult Education Authority in the Republic, to the governorate authority represented by Mr. Muhammad Ali Yasser, the governor of the governorate, appreciating all the efforts made by them, and their full care For the functioning of the educational process, ending illiteracy among adults, and facilitating the obstacles facing the administration in the governorate in performing its lofty mission.
And Mr. Metropolitan Himid praised the efforts of female teachers in the literacy classes in the governorate, which they exert in performing their duty and their educational mission in eradicating illiteracy in society.
Mr. Matran thanked the enrollees for their determination to receive education by continuing to enroll in the literacy classes, and today they are taking the exams of the first semester, wishing them success and more academic achievement in the second semester.
Where the members of the literacy and adult education classes for the first semester of the current year reached 1227 students and students distributed over 93 classrooms throughout the directorates of Al-Mahra Governorate.
The inauguration was attended by Ms. Khadija Hassan bin Shihab, Director of the Al-Ghaidha Directorate Office for Literacy, and Ms. Samira Khamis Salman, Director of the Guidance and Evaluation Department of the General Administration for Literacy in the governorate.
