Al-Husseini team was crowned champion of the football team’s founding anniversary tournament for the category of people born in 2004/2003 AD, which was organized by the team to coincide with the 59th anniversary of the founding, under the supervision of the Council of Popular Sports Teams affiliated to Al-Ahly Club in Ghail Bawazir, after defeating its rival, Al-Qara Storm, by three goals without a response in the match. The final that was held between the two teams yesterday afternoon, Friday, December 9, 2022 AD, at the Al-Husseini team’s training ground.
The first half witnessed a relative calmness in the atmosphere of the match, before attacks and attempts began from both sides, wasting fixed and moving balls, and imposing repeated shots on the goal. Nasser Bakhmis to Omar Bakhmis, whose shot did not miss its way into the net, so Al-Husseini ended the first half with a goal lead.
In the second half, the morale of the game increased and the opportunities increased. Al-Asifa players tried to adjust the result by launching some attacks on Al-Husseini's goal, as they did not take advantage of them and translated them all to waste without reaching the net. The designer, Saeed Muhammad Al-Bani, winner of the competition for the best logo design for the fifty-ninth anniversary of the founding of the Al-Husseini team, was also honored, and he was awarded an award presented by Mashour HD Studio for photography. Weddings and events, and the former coach of the Husseini team, Zaki Baqwego, was also honored for his service to the team during the previous stage.
Great efforts were made by the organizing committee of the tournament, headed by Uncle Awad Omar Bakhail, and the membership of Hani Salem Baraya and Salem Saeed Bashkil, in organizing and preparing for the success of this league.
Eight teams participated in the league, which are Al-Husseini and Al-Arabi from Al-Ghail, Al-Sahara Bisadaa, Al-Asifa, Al-Ahqaf, Al-Ittifaq, Al-Shaab, and Samoun from the continent. They competed in a single-match knockout system.
