A meeting held today in Mukalla, which included the leadership of the local authority in Hadramawt governorate, the World Food Organization "FAO" team and the Dutch embassy team, discussed preparations for implementing a project for sustainable water management and promoting good governance, resilience and renewable agriculture funded by the Dutch government and targeting Wadi Hajar.

The Governor of Hadramout, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, thanked the interventions of the "FAO" organization in Hadramout and the governorates of the country, praising the importance and components of the project in touching on the aspect of enhancing food security, and benefiting from the fertile agricultural lands of Wadi Hajar for the cultivation and production of wheat, pointing to the vitality of the project in light of the economic conditions. difficult as a result of the current war, which will reflect positively on the citizens and enhance the cultivation of the basic wheat material for the citizens, stressing the support of the local authority to provide the necessary facilities for the success of the project in the Hajar district affected by the recent floods.
