The Iraqi national team won the title of "Arabian Gulf Cup 25", after defeating its Omani counterpart by three goals to two goals, during the final match hosted by the Basra International Stadium, on Thursday evening.
Iraq's first goal was scored by Ibrahim Baish in the 24th minute. Oman player Jamil Saleem Al-Ahmadi missed the chance to adjust the score from a penalty kick in the 82nd minute. But a second penalty in stoppage time (d96), Salah Al-Yahyai translated it into a goal, which made the two teams pass to the extra runs.
In the second extra half, the Iraqi national team scored the forward goal from the feet of Amjad Atwan (d116), before Omar al-Maliki adjusted the score for Oman in the 119th minute.
In the overtime of the second extra half, the Iraqi national team decided the "crazy match" and scored the third goal by Manaf Younis (d122).
