Oil prices today fell by about 1% after a rise recorded at the end of last week following Russia's announcement of its intention to voluntarily reduce crude production by 500 thousand barrels per day in March 2023.
By 09: 57 Moscow time, the futures contract for American crude "West Texas Intermediate" fell by 1.07% to 78.87 dollars per barrel.
While the futures contracts for the global crude oil mix "Brent" fell by 0.97% to 85.55 dollars per barrel, according to data from the agency "Bloomberg".
Russian Deputy Prime Minister "Alexander Novak" said that his country intends to reduce its oil production starting from next March by 500 thousand barrels.
The decline comes a day before the release of the "OPEC" report on the oil markets.
