But the madness of the Premier League summit did not stop completely, after Chelsea won a penalty kick in stoppage time of the second half, and Cole Palmer succeeded in putting the ball forcefully past the Manchester City goalkeeper, who failed to save it in the 95th minute.
Despite the draw, Manchester City was able to stand alone at the top of the English Premier League, with 28 points, far behind Liverpool (second place with 27 points), while Chelsea ranked 10th.
