The France national team qualified for the final match of the U-17 World Cup, after defeating its counterpart, the Malian national team, by two goals to one, in the match that brought them together today, Tuesday, at “Manahan” Stadium, in the semi-finals of the tournament.
The Malian national team finished the first half of the match with a clean goal, scored by Ibrahim Diarra, in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
In the second half, Mali player Solemani Sanogo was directly sent off, in the 55th minute of the match, after his reckless intervention on the French national team player.
The French team quickly succeeded in achieving the equalizer in the 56th minute, through Ivan Tite.
Ismail Bonib added the second goal for the French Roosters team, in the 69th minute of the match.
The French team will face its German counterpart in the final match, scheduled for next Saturday.
