Real Madrid and Manchester City exchanged leads before drawing 3-3 in an exciting Champions League quarter-final first-leg match at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Tuesday.
After Bernando Silva took an early lead for City with a crafty free kick, the home side came back with two goals within two minutes after Eduardo Camavinga's shot hit defender Ruben Diaz's foot, and he accidentally scored in his own net in the 12th minute, before Rodrigo made it 2-1 from a counterattack.
Real Madrid wasted several chances in the second half, and City took advantage. Phil Foden equalized with a powerful shot from the edge of the area in the 66th minute, and in the same way his teammate Yusko Gvardiol scored five minutes later.
But Federico Valverde refused to let his team lose with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area after a cross pass from Vinicius Junior.
The return match will be held at City Stadium, the defending champion, on April 17th.
