Barcelona won the Spanish Super Cup after a crushing victory over its traditional rival Real Madrid with a score of 5-2, in the match that took place this evening, Sunday, at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium (the Shining Jewel) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
First Half: An Amazing Catalan Comeback
The match started with great excitement as Kylian Mbappe scored the first goal for Real Madrid in the fifth minute, taking advantage of a quick counterattack that penetrated Barcelona's defense and shot a perfect ball into the goalkeeper's net.
But Barcelona responded strongly, as Lamine Yamal equalized in the 22nd minute with a wonderful shot to the left of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
In the 36th minute, Robert Lewandowski added the second goal for the Catalan team from a penalty kick, after the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology showed that there was an obstruction inside the penalty area.
Three minutes before the end of the first half, Rafinha managed to score the third goal with a wonderful header after a perfect cross that penetrated Real Madrid's defense.
Alex Balde added the fourth goal in the 10th minute of stoppage time, concluding a great first half for Barcelona.
Second half: Consolidating the Catalan superiority
With the start of the second half, Barcelona continued their overwhelming attack, with Rafinha scoring the fifth goal of the match, confirming his team's dominance.
Real Madrid tried to get back into the match, but the expulsion of the Catalan goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny in the 57th minute after a foul on Mbappe gave the Royals the opportunity to reduce the deficit. From a direct free kick executed brilliantly by Rodrygo Goes in the 60th minute, Real Madrid scored their second goal.

With this victory, Barcelona won its fifteenth title in the Spanish Super Cup, extending its record as the club with the most titles, two titles ahead of Real Madrid, who have 13 titles.
