Today in Mukalla, the Governor of Hadhramaut, Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, was briefed on the intervention plan of the SIRY/UNDP team, and the approved projects and headquarters to be implemented during the next year in the districts of Mukalla, Al Shihr, Ghail Bawazeer, Al Qattan, Tarim, and Sayun.


During his meeting, the governor, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Local Council in the governorate, Saleh Aboud Al-Amqi, and the governorate’s deputy for technical affairs, Engineer Amin Barzeq, learned the organizations working in the framework of the team on aspects of intervention in the important sectors, and the projects that were implemented in Hadramout in the institutional sector, infrastructure and economic growth at a cost of 2 One million and 500 thousand dollars.


The project comes within the United Nations Development Program to establish an organized and systematic project for local authorities to help maintain, enhance and expand their performance, with the aim of ensuring economic and social capacity, especially for the poor and the most needy, supporting the humanitarian aspects, the women sector, women entrepreneurs, improving livelihoods, preparing strategic plans, activating community participation and developing capacities Local authorities.


The Governor praised the interventions of the organizations working within the team supporting institutional and economic resilience, stressing the importance and excellence of the projects they implement in the governorate’s directorates.


The meeting was attended by the Director General of the General Administration for Administrative Development Research and Training at the Governorate Diwan, Marina Al-Juhi.
