The Dutch national team qualified for the second round by defeating its counterpart, Qatar, with two clean goals, in its third match in the Qatar World Cup 2022, in the match that brought them together at Al Bayt Stadium in the third round of Group A.
The first half ended with the Netherlands advancing with a goal scored by Cody Jumbo in the 26th minute.
In the second half, the Dutch team doubled its lead with a second goal scored by Frenkie de Jong in the 47th minute.
The referee canceled a goal for the Netherlands from a handball.
With this victory, the Dutch team qualifies for the second round at the top of Group A with 7 points, while Qatar remains without points in last place and bids farewell to the tournament.
