The ministry’s delegation consisted of the Undersecretary for the Production Sector, Eng. Abdul-Malik Naji Obaid, Eng. Shukri Khamis / Director General of Irrigation Facilities, Acting Undersecretary of the Irrigation and Agricultural Reclamation Sector, Muhammad Ahmed Omar Al-Beidh / Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Khatib / Director General of Animal Health and Eng. Anwar Abdul Karim, Director General of the Agricultural Projects Department at the Ministry of Agriculture, and Brigadier General Abdul Raqeeb Saleh, Director of Security at the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries.


The delegation started its second day with a visit to the Diwan of Al-Dhalea Governorate, which also includes the agricultural complex in the governorate, where it met with Major General / Ali Moqbel Saleh, Governor of Al-Dhalea Governorate, the Deputy Governorate and Director General of Planning / Nabil Al-Afif, as well as the Deputy Governorate for Organizations Affairs, Head of the Relief Authority, M-Al-Dhalea


A/ Akram Qassem Moqbel, and Abdullah Mahdi Saeed/ Head of the Transitional Council in Al-Dhalea Governorate, Ali Muhammad Al-Oud/ Acting Secretary-General of the Governorate, Farez Shukri/ Head of the Community Committees in Al-Dhalea, as well as directors of general directorates and public administrations in the governorate, where Deputy Abdul Malik conveyed to the attendees the greetings of His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture Major General Salem Abdullah Al-Soqtari, and his keenness to see the governorate’s need in the agricultural and irrigation sector for its implementation in the coming period.


The ministry's delegation heard from the attendees about the most important needs in the field of agriculture and irrigation in the governorate, as well as the extent of damage to irrigation facilities as a result of the drought that the governorate witnessed in the last period.


Visit the agricultural complex in Dalea


After that, the ministry delegation went to visit the Agriculture and Irrigation Office located on the campus of the Al-Dhalea Governorate building, where they were received by the Director General of the office, Eng. Muhammad Naji, and a number of specialized employees in the office.


The delegation was briefed by the Director of the Agriculture Office in Al-Dhalea and the directors of the departments on the activity of the office and its various departments and the workflow in them, and discussed with them many issues related to the work of the office and its affiliated facilities, as well as the challenges facing it, and ways to overcome them. and ways to overcome and treat them.


The ministry delegation assured the director of the Agriculture and Irrigation Office in the governorate that Minister Al-Soqtari pays great attention to the facilities of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries in the governorate, especially those related to agriculture and livestock, and his constant emphasis on improving its work to enhance food security for citizens, whether in Al-Dhalea or the rest of the liberated areas.


The visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries comes within the framework of an official working tour that takes several days, to see the most important agricultural and livestock projects that the governorate needs, as well as to limit the damage to agricultural facilities and irrigation canals due to drought and the scarcity of rainfall that affected large agricultural areas in the liberated governorates. Recently, in order to direct the efforts made to take advantage of the allocated interventions to start their maintenance and rehabilitation.
