The Dutch national team historically qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, by defeating its counterpart, the United States, by three goals to one, in the match that brought them together at Khalifa International Stadium in the round of 16.
The lead goal for the Netherlands was scored in the first half by Memphis Depay in the 10th minute.
And in stoppage time in the first half, Daley Blind doubled the second goal for the Netherlands, to end the first half, with the Netherlands advancing with two clean goals.
In the second half, Haji Rait narrowed the deficit by scoring the first goal for America in the 76th minute.
In the last minutes of the second half, the Netherlands national team strengthened its superiority with a third goal scored by Denzel Dumfries in the 81st minute, to end the second half and the match with the Netherlands winning by three goals to one.
With this result, the Dutch national team qualifies for the quarter-finals of the Qatar World Cup 2022, and America leaves the tournament.
