The community committee in Al-Shahr district, headed by Mr. Musabbeh Al-Abd Al-Bahsani, Deputy Director General of Al-Shahr District, discussed with Mr. Adel Ahmed Baakaba, Director-General of Al-Shahr District, the implementation of the Peace Women Mediators initiative, which aims to train 20 women mediators to reform family problems in the neighborhoods, implemented from 19-21 November 2022 AD, which comes within the impact maker project implemented by the Yemen Ring Foundation and funded by the Dutch PAX.
The Director-General welcomed the initiative’s efforts after the committee members reviewed the project, which aims to reform family problems, psychological support, conflict and peace building, in addition to strengthening the technical capacities of youth activists and active community leaders interested in the issues of her local community, which she works to address in coordination and cooperation with the local authority and empowering them to design policies and advocating for it in matters of peace and achieving stability for the country.
