The Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, was briefed today in Mukalla about the programs and projects of the Silah Foundation for Development for the coming year 2023.
The governor, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Local Council in the governorate, Saleh Aboud Al-Amqi, during his meeting with the Executive Director of the Foundation, Ali Hassan Bashmakh, and the Director of Health Programs, Dr. Muhammad Bahitham, learned about the activity of the Foundation, which is headquartered in the city of Mukalla, and provides services in 9 vital sectors in Hadramout and a number of Governorates of the Republic, and is working to implement projects through local and external partnerships.
The Executive Director of the Foundation explained that Silah implemented 485 projects that benefited more than 7 million people. When implementing them, the focus was on sustainability projects that serve the community, in addition to implementing projects in the health and education sectors through the rehabilitation of hospitals, care of kidney centers, rehabilitation of schools and support for scientific research. Higher education and rehabilitation of rural teachers.
The governor was briefed on the study submitted by the Selah Foundation on "Measuring the Economic, Environmental and Social Impact and the Use of Solar Energy Systems in Operating Drinking Water Wells", which won the AGFUND Prize for the year 2019.
The governor stressed that the Sila Foundation for Development and civil society institutions and organizations in Hadhramaut present success stories on the ground, represented in projects and interventions that contribute to serving the local communities in Hadhramaut and the governorates of the country, as well as reflecting the reality of Hadhramaut as the land of peace, love and giving, and the best example of this is the unification of the efforts of institutions and charitable societies During the war crisis in Aden, and the great humanitarian services provided by civil society organizations to the people of Aden governorate and the rest of the governorates arriving in Hadhramaut, and providing them with care, housing and treatment, without setting up any tent in Hadramout during that period, in addition to embracing all the people of the country now, in an indication of the A message of social solidarity, peace and love among the people of the country.
