Today, the Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, visited the headquarters of the Messila Oil Exploration and Production Company, and met with the company's leadership, to review the progress of work in the oil sectors.
Representative Al-Bahsani, from the company's leadership, listened to the level of production, and the reasons for its recent decline due to the dangerous Houthi escalation on economic facilities, via drones.
The meeting dealt with the possibility of expanding oil investments in the Masila fields, as well as the establishment of an oil refinery that covers the needs of the local market of petroleum, in addition to the possibility of establishing a gas-fired power station, to improve the electric current service in Hadramout Governorate.
The Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed that the Messila Oil Exploration and Production Company is one of the most important economic facilities in the country, and it must be preserved and its properties and cadres, directing the support of the military and security forces that work day and night to secure the company from any counterattacks.
Al-Bahsani said, "We will work in the Presidential Leadership Council to develop deterrent solutions for all Houthi attacks on economic facilities, in a way that enables the company to produce continuously," noting that the solutions will include the provision of modern quality weapons to protect and secure economic facilities from any terrorist attack.
He praised the efforts of the company's leadership in preserving the facilities during the terrorist organizations' control of the coast of Hadramout, and their cooperation during the preparation for the liberation operation with the Hadrami Elite Forces.
